I saw this letter as part of The Morgan Library's Enaj Netsua exhibit in 2009 with many other wonderful things. She is magnificent! What a fun letter it must have been to receive. (Exhibit was 'A Woman's Wit' and it's Googleable for info/images.)
This is such a charming way to connect with a niece and offer a surprise. The surprise was for us finding out the author. Thank you so much for sharing this among piece of history showing love, connection and playfulness. It is truly remarkable.
