I love talking about words. If I weren’t an English professor, I’d be a vulcanologist just for the sound of it.

Personally, I like the word "Thwart." It sounds just like a fart in the bathtub.

The worst of words is "fondly." It has all the profundity of Pablum.

This was such a brilliant read, when I start earning money I’d surely pay for articles like this one! Really appreciate the gift you’ve given me this wet rainy good-for-nothing Wednesday morning.

Syzygy! This word is surely in my top five! This is an excellent collection of fantastic but uncommon words.

I love this selection of letters very much! One of my fave words is Persiflage.

All these letters and their words were astounding, but that last letter was a humdinger. No wonder he got three interviews and a job. Do business schools use this letter in their resume writing classes? They should.

I'm with Diana Athill on this one. My brain is searching for the word or combination of words to describe the absolute horror of what is happening in our country. But there are no words as of now that come close to that feeling of falling into an endless black pit.
