This reminds me of the hideous fashion of the 50’s to 60’s perhaps of the mink or Fox stole draped around ladies’ shoulders with the little creature’s head displayed with its little glass eyes staring out. Even as a young child I found it horrifying.
Actually appreciated the chance to read the letter with a bit of calm, as I laughed too much at the performance to really get everything. I was lost at: "I wish she had come later and gone earlier".
My GOD! I hope those kinds of fashions are over. I say this, realizing I've not yet surrendered my leather purse, nor stopped paying due homage to the animals who gave their lives to provide a magnificent store full of buckaroo ware and working equipment. When I first open the door of the establishment, I stand all amazed at the aroma that hits me. And then there's my eternal gratitude to the long wooled sheep who skin provided a coat to protect me from the damp, deadly, Israeli winter cold. Bless that animal forever and the skill of the tanner to respect the animal enough to do good work.

Not forgetting its little sharp claws <shudder> the first piece of clothing I encountered as a young child that was *dangerous*.
NGL, I rather cackled at GBS' letter. Though that hat in the photo is definitely offensive!
"But even that lady stopped short of a whole seagull." 😁
This was all quite wonderful...the witty letter, the brilliant performance, and the enthusiastic audience.
Hilarious - especially the reading by BC. :)
GBS was flawless in sarcasm, and BC's reading was perfect. A fun way to start a Monday morning. Thank you!
The photo!

'...the joins artificially reddened...' 😱

Astonishing how those of that other space in time, made do with the most environmentally friendly solutions far ahead of their time🙏💜✨
