I remember hearing about this letter many, many years ago and thought it was a cute thing and I still think it is cute. Too bad today's politicians don't have the same sense of humor as Ronald Reagan did.
Are 'Real Americans' issued something special at birth, which tells them which political party to vote for? How do the Doctors know which babies are the real Americans?
I doubt you have the reading comprehensions skills to understand anything they would write back to your idiotic babbling. The fact that you are pretending to ask a question via. I say "Pretending" to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are not really that stupid when a 10 year old would understand the meaning of what was written. There are parasites like you who are in America but not of America. You want all the benefits, you are just the takers & to cowardly to leave...
You're right, I'm an idiot, but I'm asking as I'd really like understand :)
Being "in America but not of America"... how do I change that? What benefits should I not want? How do I stop being a taker? Is it as simple as voting Republican?
Again, I really, really, really don't understand the meaning of what was written. Please help me!
Deranged trolls like you love to follow any news story about Republican's, you are obsessed with us as we laugh at you. I doubt you know one thing about President Reagan or ever read a book for that matter.
The last book I read was "And then there were none" by Agatha Christie. It was brief, but quite the page turner. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a quick read.
Just as I thought, nothing that would educate you so that you could at least sound half way intelligent and informed to make comments on the topic at hand. You are far more transparent then you realize. People like you, who are so hate driven you could not respond to a cute letter exchange but instead went right to attacking & trying to demean a former President. None of which had anything to to with the actual topic. Not go learn how to actual read with intent and not be hate driven and blinded. Maybe read comic books.
But... I haven't said anything bad about the former President? I simply responded to someones' comment, as you did mine.
Also, I'm really sorry if anything I said seems hate driven. My Mom always told me "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". So I try to be positive :)
Also, is reading fiction a bad thing now? I'm so confused.
This seemingly undeserved hate on Reagan in the comments just made me learn more about the man on top of what I already know. Now I know that not only was he quite liked as a leader figure and an almost unmatched public speaker, he took action on things where other republican types might've failed and our ozone layer would have paid a hard price on.
Like go hate on someone else actually deserving the hate, like foreign autocrats. Hating on Reagan says more of the accuser than the man.
It pains me to like anything with R Regan's name on it, but that's a witty, ideologically impeccable (nice metaphor, with a tip of the conservative hat at the end), oddly tender and ironically generous reply.
Just shows why Ronald Reagan was one of the greatest presidents in American history. He exhibited great compassion, discipline, determination, wisdom, and humor. A combination that is greatly lacking in today’s political environment. Thanks for sharing this delightful and humorous correspondence.
Reagan then nixon put through a lot of the thinking for the tearing down of the Constitution of our Democracy. Here in 2025 the Republican traitors &misfits, all of them maga now ,have colluded with the felon, traitor trump & musk: not a citizen, to collapse our government. God help us!
Why does it pain you? I feel sad for you that you are so afraid to say you could like a man, just because he wasn't a Democrat. I liked Jimmy Carter, even though his policies as president were terrible, and I'm not afraid to say he was a sweet man with good intentions. I am disgusted by president Trump, as a human being, but he was a great president for America. Democrats can't tell the difference between politics and morals.
Please stop with the Reagan hate! He was a wonderful man and his intentions were good and authentically driven. Just enjoy the letter for what it is.

And kindness....
Naw he sucked lol
From the perspective of a communist and/or fake American (aka Democrat), then yes, he sucked.
From the perspective of a real American, he was great.
Good thing I'm not American...
Also i'm sure you have no opinions about Xi considering you probably are halfway through typing "DoN'T crITiCIZe COUNtries tHat yoU don'T LIvE IN
" while crying uncontrollably.
Serious Question... How does that work?
Are 'Real Americans' issued something special at birth, which tells them which political party to vote for? How do the Doctors know which babies are the real Americans?

So more babbling nonsense...You actually mirror Harris, lots and lots of words with zero meaning!

Have you read anything good recently?

The only people who hate RR are communists.
What about people who mildly dislike him? Would they be socialists, or communists also?

I agree with others. Not crazy about liking anything written by Reagan but that was pretty awesome.
What a kind human being. I'm sure other presidents have had similar correspondence, but this sort of whimsical kindness was his calling card.
Man, what a letter! Thank you for sharing.
“Congratulations” at the end was hilarious. You know Andy had to have been reading it thinking aw man!

By far the best president I have had!

I've always enjoyed stories of this president - I will share this with my US History class!
Even to kids, he was a leader and source of good common sense advice!
Enough already!! We can be better than this!

Reagan was a wonderful president. Biden could learn a lot from him.
Well said KD!
