This seemingly undeserved hate on Reagan in the comments just made me learn more about the man on top of what I already know. Now I know that not only was he quite liked as a leader figure and an almost unmatched public speaker, he took action on things where other republican types might've failed and our ozone layer would have paid a hard price on.
Like go hate on someone else actually deserving the hate, like foreign autocrats. Hating on Reagan says more of the accuser than the man.
It pains me to like anything with R Regan's name on it, but that's a witty, ideologically impeccable (nice metaphor, with a tip of the conservative hat at the end), oddly tender and ironically generous reply.
Just shows why Ronald Reagan was one of the greatest presidents in American history. He exhibited great compassion, discipline, determination, wisdom, and humor. A combination that is greatly lacking in today’s political environment. Thanks for sharing this delightful and humorous correspondence.
Why does it pain you? I feel sad for you that you are so afraid to say you could like a man, just because he wasn't a Democrat. I liked Jimmy Carter, even though his policies as president were terrible, and I'm not afraid to say he was a sweet man with good intentions. I am disgusted by president Trump, as a human being, but he was a great president for America. Democrats can't tell the difference between politics and morals.
Please stop with the Reagan hate! He was a wonderful man and his intentions were good and authentically driven. Just enjoy the letter for what it is.

I agree with others. Not crazy about liking anything written by Reagan but that was pretty awesome.
What a kind human being. I'm sure other presidents have had similar correspondence, but this sort of whimsical kindness was his calling card.
Man, what a letter! Thank you for sharing.
“Congratulations” at the end was hilarious. You know Andy had to have been reading it thinking aw man!

By far the best president I have had!
Phone Juden Peterstein immediately! LMAO!
I've always enjoyed stories of this president - I will share this with my US History class!
Even to kids, he was a leader and source of good common sense advice!
Enough already!! We can be better than this!

Reagan was a wonderful president. Biden could learn a lot from him.
Well said KD!
