A wonderful occasion to offer my thanks for so many wonderful discoveries. Some awful ones too, but that's life in letters. And I guess I'll never, ever, forgive you for the pepperoni seagull letter, which I've tried to read to several friends without success, because it gets me laughing every time. So thanks for Letters Live too, saving me the trouble :)

Happy B Day!! it takes a lot of courage to put our writing out for all the world to see. Your idea of gathering letters is unique and brilliant. I am quite glad you pushed "publish". Please do the same for another 15 years.

Have been a reader for a long time. I still remember old favourites ("Nothing good gets away" and the one with Iggy Pop). Thank you for this life's work. So very grateful for you and this project's existence. Cheers! To many more years!

Happy birthday Shaun and Letters of Note! Your treasure trove of findings inspired me to write my own book in 2022 that encourages note and letter writers everywhere to write more often. These heartspoken words matter as you work has so clearly proven. Thank you!

Sean,

You know in this current rendition of life on this planet it is so important for somebody to monitor the past as it slips by at ever

increasing speed. That is almost exclusively what you do. The letters you publish are all written. Will we learn from them? Personally I do. i have appreciated every single posting. Reading the past inspires the future and this does not only refer to prose. Frequently a window into the mindset of the letter writer becomes apparent. There are museums of great fame and notoriety all around the world all filled with art of all kinds. But, one can only guess at the meanings behind the work.

Not true when you write a letter to someone. You write because you WANT

to have your reader know your meaning.

Few paint like the old masters today.

Every time you send an email you are opening the door to another museum which maybe you could call “Hope”.

Hope that people who read can also begin again to write. Not emoji, not text three or four letters, not tweet or X or whatever’s is next. Write. Maybe (gasp!) on paper.

Maybe Sean they could write you to

express thanks, nod approvingly, and yes, hopefully send a check along to help you help us. Keep the fire going man.
