My ongoing argument with my little brother (35 year retired army veteran) is that 'stupid' is infinite. He doesn't agree but tells me to "trust no one."

If education can do this much damage, just imagine what havoc AI can wreak… I fear that what Google Maps did to our sense of direction, AI will do to our capacity for original thought. Everywhere you look, you see willful lobotomies that will take effect gradually and then all at once

Indeed , there is a certain reassurance in knowing that across time and space and culture, humans often have the same concerns. Sometimes it makes today seem trivial , at others it reinforces that today is all we have.
A cure for hubris would be helpful as well. I think all wars are hubris wars
