This is such important work, Shaun. Thank you for being the archivist of emotions of our time. I read each one with awe, and their humanity often brings my own tears bubbling to and through the surface, as this one has today. Thank you, thank you. ๐Ÿ™

In March 1967 I was 15 years old and watching news about Vietnam on our new television. The following Saturday I bunked the train to London & took part in a protest outside the US Embassy. I continued to protest until the war ended. It marked the beginning of a lifetime of activism.... 55 years & still at it!

Reading this letter from a fallen US helicopter pilot's mum made all that effort worthwhile.

At the time I did not understand why there was a war in Vietnam, I only knew that young men were drafted, against their will, to go & die in a foreign country which seemed innocent of any guilt.
