he was such a romantic. I met him in temple. He was wise. he was broke because his money manager of 30 years ripped him off. Our Rabbi tried to help him by selling his poetry book. If I had know his situation then I would have bought the book. Later I wondered and saw a YouTube in which he explained that "Money has a way of disappearing if you don't watch it." quote him on that. It's quotable and notable as Cohen himself. My favorite song of his was produced by his son, a producer with perfect pitch. It's called, "you want it darker," Hinini is a word that indicates total availability. A note to straight women - be careful using it in Israel. And Be careful using it in hospitals because it tells Jewish staff you're ready to die. Leigh.
What a touching story. For some reason, I never knew about Leonard Cohen until his recent later years. As I discover more about him, and his music, I'm dazzled by his deep humanity, and how he touches people at levels of emotion and tenderness that we seldom experience. "Hallelujah" has become a world-wide anthem that brings tears to the eyes.
I'm not crying. It's just raining on my face.
It takes my breath away, but what a way to go.
The poetry between them, both written and acted is a beautiful tableau.
I know the song and his letter so very well yet I never before saw the reply from her friend. Thank you deeply for this.
(And now I’ll have puffy eyes in the morning)
What a way to say goodbye. Yes, I am crying for those lost days and lost loves. So long Marianne, so long Leonard, so long to all the memories.
Beautiful...
How wonderful to receive such a letter from a past lover on one's deathbed. I live in hope.
Wow, just wow.
Blessings for my journey are what I want to hear when my time comes. Leonard Cohen always knew the right words.

❤️💔❤️
Beautiful ❤️ I love Leonard Cohen and didn’t know this!
Both melancholic and heart-soaring. Such love over the years and through the veil.
Very sweet and touching.
Wonderful!
