I love everything about this -- honest and generous Mr Wright; respectful, polite, articulate, patient young Jim; dad Bob who most likely provided some information so that his son could write the letter but otherwise didn't seem to interfere; and dog Eddie, who was the most patient of all. I hope Jim sent a picture of Eddie in the dog house to Mr Wright. It's a nice day when I learn about nice people. Nice. Let's all be a bit nicer.
That is so cool that he took the boy seriously instead of just blowing him off. Wright must have been busy with health issues as well as whatever work he still needed to finish. What a gift.
Oh! How wonderful was this?
What a genuinely great correspondence, and how polite and articulate was young Jim.

I love that the kid gave the dog's dimensions. A fine eye for detail!
Frank Lloyd Wright...gone to the dogs.
His hallmark was how he hid the entrances to his buildings.
This is so profoundly delightful.
A beautiful story. Thank you for sharing. ❤️
Superb!

Good for Jim. Would not be put off !
Thank you for sharing! What a delight to see that Mr.Wright did not dismiss Jim for being a mere 'child'! Jim's letter is wonderful:)
Lucky Eddie
