China all-but-owns Hollywood, nowadays. Xenophobia, of which Scorsese complains, was never an American problem in film or culture. We know today what we should have known when Scorsese wrote his letter: diversity has its serious downside, not the least of which is its use by the Left (Democrats) to abuse USA's culture, weaken its educational system by undermining merit-based value judgements and to inject invidious racialist considerations into official decision-making in employment and education.
